This heat shrinkable tubing in 4:1 ratio PTFE has been designed to meet a dual need : protection of critical components in high temperature environments, and adaptation to irregular shapes or large diameter connectors. Its exceptional thermal behavior allows prolonged use at 260 °C, and point to 300 °C. Its coefficient of friction is very low.

The curing rate of 4:1 makes it easy to cover elements of variable diameter, without compromising on adhesion or insulation. It is ideal for complex beams, technical connectors or sensitive areas in control cabinets, instrumentation enclosures or measuring equipment. It is also widely used in the pharmaceutical, chemical and ATEX industries.

As PTFE is inert, it absorbs neither moisture nor solvents nor chemical residues. It is resistant to UV rays, oxidation, ageing and retains its dielectric properties in very high voltage ranges. The tubing contains no halogen, does not melt, and does not spread the flame.

Its translucent appearance allows partial visual inspection. It is available in standard lengths, usually in 1.22 m bars. Its implementation requires a high temperature (greater than 350 °C) via a hot air gun industrial or a suitable oven.
