Heavy-wall heat shrink tubing with adhesive, Ø3 to 200 mm, 4:1 to 6:1 ratio

During a network renovation project, a cable junction was protected by a heavy-wall heat shrink tubing with adhesive. After tightening, the tubing married the forms of the connection while the hot-fungible adhesive ensured sealing. The seal resisted soil moisture and mechanical stresses associated with compactions, ensuring continuity of service without further intervention.

In order to repair a damaged hydraulic hose Ø heavy-wall heat shrink tubing, Restricted ratio 6:1 and equipped with an internal thermofusible adhesive. The choice was on the tubing themoretractable to heavy wall with shrink ratio 6:1 diameter / after 119.4/22.9 mm. This highly restrained tubular structure allows to pass the tubing on the flange (diameter 102 wide) then, after heating, retract it very strongly around the hose (final diameter d close to 27 mm). Internal adhesive hot melts and flows to fill all gaps between the tubing and pipe, forming a joint Waterproof when cooled

The heavy-wall heat shrink tubing has technical properties adapted to demanding environments. It is used over a temperature range ranging from –55 °C to +110 °C depending on the reference, with a restrained starting from 110 °C. Once retracted, its thickness can reach up to 4.8 mm, forming a real rigid hull around the support. It incorporates an internal heat-fusible adhesive that liquefies when placed, fills the cavities and guarantees lasting sealing, even under difficult conditions. It complies with the requirements of RoHS and REACH regulations. It is only available in standard black colours. In ratio 4:1 type PE4-A, the lengths immediately available are in length 1 m, and on request we can deliver you in length 1.22 m. For the ratio 6:1, we have in stock the lengths 1 m and 1.22 m. The range of sheaths to heavy wall with adhesive is mainly available in two versions, each meeting specific needs :

• Type PE4-A Ratio 4:1 : ideal for fittings of close diameters, where it is primarily sought a robust protection and reliable sealing.
• type PE6-A Ratio 6:1 : Designed for extreme cases, when it is necessary to cover components of very different diameters or repair heavily damaged cables. Its exceptional tightness capacity makes it an essential product for the most demanding environments. Used as sleeve heat shrinkable plumbing, its versatility is appreciated by heating operators.

The tubing to heavy wall with adhesive is the top protection heat shrinkable. It combines the mechanical advantages of a very thick wall with the guarantee of lasting sealing, even under extreme conditions.
