This heat shrinkable tubing yellow is made of classic semi-rigid PVC, offering a shiny finish. Like the black version, it presents a restrained ratio of 1.2:1, which means that its diameter narrows slightly when heated, to marry the cable and form a continuous insulation. It is intended for a range of operating temperatures between –35 °C and +100 °C, compatible with most industrial and domestic environments. In terms of flexibility, it remains flexible at low temperatures and rigid enough to protect the wire from external stresses.

The main advantage of yellow colour is its ability to identify visually. According to cable tracking recommendations, the use of coloured tubings makes it possible to organize systems wired by visual codes. Thus, the yellow tubing is ideal for signalling a particular role: for example, it can indicate a control circuit, an unprotected phase wire, or it can be used to code poles in a three-phase installation. Combining several colours makes it easy to distinguish different circuits: for example, yellow (or yellow-green) is often reserved for landmasters in domestic installations, or for safety circuits. This yellow tubing thus makes it easier to track circuits and safety by instantly identifying a crucial cable or by applying a color code in an electrical board.

In addition, it performs the same functions of light mechanical protection and basic insulation as its black equivalent.
