Détails :
The medium-wall heat shrink tubing (ratio 4:1) in length of 1 metre is a polyole insulation tubethin industrial quality crosslinked. Without internal adhesive, it retracts under the effect of heat up to a quarter of its original diameter, allowing it to closely marry the cables and connectors to protect. This model medium wall is an ideal compromise between the flexibility of wall ducts thin and the robustness of thick walls, providing both flexibility and good wall thickness for increased protection.
Polyole compositionthin crosslinked confers on this tubing excellent electrical and environmental performance. It ensures efficient insulation of low voltage junctions thanks to a dielectric rigidity greater than 17 kV/mm, while providing a strong mechanical hold against physical stresses. Its medium thickness allows it to withstand shocks, abrasion and friction, thus protecting cables from external damage. This halogen-free material remains effective in extreme conditions (about -41°C to +110°C) and offers excellent UV and corrosion resistance. Moreover, the tubing has high resistance to chemical agents such as solvents, acids and alkalines, without cracking or deteriorating. All these features make it suitable for demanding industrial environments as well as for outdoor installations exposed to weather.
This tubing to medium wall without adhesive is particularly popular for the sheathing of low voltage electrical connections safely. It effectively isolates and protects the splicing, junctions and terminations of BT cables against electrical shocks and external aggressions. In distribution networks or technical cabinets, it ensures a form of mechanical sealing by closely wrapping the fittings : Once retracted, it limits infiltration of water, dust and prevents corrosion of conductors. Thanks to its important restraining power, it can be applied to large connectors or bundles of entire cables, then heat it so that it contracts and adheres to the shape as close as possible, ensuring a safe and durable hold. For example, electricians use it to restore insulation from damaged power cables, to protect splicing in external enclosures or to preserve the bases of metal structures (footlights, pylons) from climatic stresses. This 1 metre bar reference is stored at ACLP in a complete range of diameters – from a few millimetres to more than 600 mm – ensuring customers immediate availability for any type of connection or protection project.
