With its standard length of 1.22 metres, this medium-wall heat shrink tubing is particularly suitable for field operations requiring sections longer than conventional 1 metre. It is fully lined with a thermofusible adhesive film which, under the effect of heat, liquefies and fills the micro-interstices between the cable and the tubing, ensuring a connection waterproof and homogeneous over the entire surface of the cable.

This tubing combines the advantages of a dual structure: a robust crosslinked polyolefin base, and an adhesive inner layer that spreads during the tightening. This thermal sealing process makes it possible to secure junctions against water infiltration, moisture lifts or corrosive agents. The tubing has a thermal resistance of –55 °C to +110 °C, its temperature-use range is greater than the equivalent 1 m type PM4-A-100 tubing with a different source with a temperature-use range of -40°C to +110°C. Dielectric rigidity is high, suitable for low voltage use while maintaining good UV and mechanical resistance.

The shrink ratio 4:1 ensures reliable cover, even on cables or tubings with significant diameter variation. This property is valuable in field applications where the original good diameter is not always available. Once retracted, the tubing becomes rigid and the adhesive film forms a stable barrier, without detachment or sooting.

Thanks to its length of 1.22 metres, this version is often preferred for continuous repairs or protections, such as outdoor BT cables, buried telecom beams or industrial box networks. It allows for example to cover a section of cable without intermediate connection, reducing potential weak points. Its ability to create a thick and waterproof makes it a safe choice for demanding environments, exposed to moisture, dust or mechanical shocks.
