Heat shrinkable tubing packed in reel
What types of heat shrinkable tubing are available in reel ?
First of all, let us clarify what we mean by a heat shrinkable tubing packed in reel. One reel will be a cardboard turret with a mandrel on which will be wrapped the tubing. The mandrel will be more or less wide depending on the flat width of the tubing.
From the moment heat shrinkable tubing is flexible, it is very likely to be offered for sale in reel. Thus, ACLP offers you in packaging reel the following sheaths :
- the coils of Tubing PVC yellow or black ratio 1.2:1 held from -35°C to +100°C, type PPVC-12-JA or PPVC-12-NO,
- General-purpose sheath coils in ratio 2:1 or 3:1 and held up to 125°C, type PF2-125 or PF3-125,
- coils of sheaths for general use very flexible and kept in temperature up to 135°C. For ratio 2:1, we offer you type PF2-135. In ratio 3:1, we offer you type PF3-135.
- For thermal transfer printing, we offer coils of heat shrinkable tubing white or yellow, ratio 2:1 or ratio 3:1. These are products PF2-125-PR-BL, PF2-125-PR-JA, PF3-125-PR-BL or PF3-125-PR-JA,
- Our halogen-free sheaths are only available in coils. These are products PF2-105 and PF2-125-HF,
- Our wall sheaths thin lined with adhesive are available in sleeve or in coils. The ratios are 3:1 or 4:1 with maximum temperatures of 125°C to 135°C. These are products PF3-A, PF4-A, and PF4-A-125,
- In heat shrinkable tubing high temperature, we offer Kynar coils only for the lower range of diameters, this is the product PFK2-175. The heat shrinkable tubing in Viton is only available in Reel, this is the product PFV2-200,
- The heat shrinkable tubing PTFE is not available by default in reel, it is only available in a 1.22 m bar. Upon request, ACLP can deliver the heat shrinkable tubing PTFE in packaging reel.
The inconvenient of reel is that this implies a significant length of tubing, and a high cost. Fortunately, most of these sheaths are also available in sleeve 1 meter long, or in a dispenser box, or in an assortment box.
Example of using a Wall thin Tubing ratio 3:1 up to 135°C in transparent black colours - PF3-135
The thin-wall heat shrink tubing PF3-135, in polyolethin, is designed for applications requiring high adaptability thanks to its shrink ratio 3:1. Available in black, all-colour or transparent coils, it effectively covers large diameter differences while maintaining excellent homogeneity after retraction. Its operating range from -55 °C to +135 °C guarantees reliable handling in the industrial environment, with a minimum temperature of tightness above 70 °C facilitating fast hot air application. Flexible and self-extinguishing, RoHS compliant and UL 224 125 °C certified, it meets the current standard requirements in electrical integration. The size guide allows you to select precisely the appropriate diameter for each installation configuration.
