Heat shrinkable tubing in KYNAR material
What is a heat shrinkable tubing in Kynar® ?
One heat shrinkable tubing in Kynar® is a tubing Made from PVDF (vinylidene polyfluoride), a fluoropolymer known for its high thermal and chemical stability. After extrusion and reticulation, the tubing is expanded and then cooled; during implementation, it retracts under the effect of a high temperature to precisely match the support. Unlike polyolate sheathsthin standard, the Kynar® version is intended for harsh environments where temperature, aggressive fluids or mechanical stresses exceed the capabilities of conventional materials.
Enhanced thermal holding
The tubing Kynar® supports operating temperatures up to 175 °C continuously, with excellent dimensional stability. It retains its mechanical properties even after repeated thermal cycles, making it a suitable solution for engine compartments, hot industrial equipment or environments subjected to permanent heating.
In a power cabinet installed in a hot industrial zone, drivers pass close to a variable that generates a high ambient temperature. One tubing Kynar® helps secure connections without risk of softening or cracking after several years of operation. Even during punctual thermal peaks, tubing maintains its dimensional stability. This avoids repetitive maintenance operations related to premature aging of the insulation.
