PURPLE Heat shrinkable tubing
What types of tubing are available in purple colour ?
The purple color for a heat shrinkable tubing remains relatively uncommon in standard installations, where black, red or blue dominate. However, ACLP offers two technical references in violet to meet the specific needs of tracking, internal coding or differentiated circuit identification.
For common applications and when the diameters to be covered remain close, the heat shrinkable tubing purple in shrink ratio 2:1, type PF2-125, is a suitable solution. It allows precise adjustment while maintaining good wall homogeneity after retraction.
On the other hand, when the difference between the initial diameter and the final diameter to be covered exceeds a ratio of 2 without exceeding 3, it is preferable to opt for a heat shrinkable tubing violet in ratio 3:1. The reference PF3-125 responds to this configuration and offers greater adaptability on connectors, pods or elements with greater dimensional variations.
Thin-wall heat shrink purple tubing ratio 2:1 in reel
The thin-wall heat shrink tubing PF2-135 purple (mauve) colour, available in reel, is intended for applications requiring specific tracking while maintaining a high level of electrical performance. Sound shrink ratio 2:1 allows precise adjustment on conductors and components from nearby sections, with regular finish and excellent dimensional stability after retraction. Its temperature range from -55 °C to +135 °C ensures sustainable reliability in industrial and tertiary environments, including in the presence of repeated thermal cycles.
With a dielectric rigidity of 20 kV/mm, this tubing ensures efficient insulation for low voltage installations, wiring beams and electronic subassemblies. Restricted temperature above 90 °C allows efficient application with hot air, without excessive stress of surrounding elements. Flexible, self-extinguishing, RoHS compliant and UL 224 125 °C certified, it meets the normative requirements of equipment manufacturers and integrators.
The purple colour is particularly suitable for internal coding, signalling circuits or applications requiring differentiated identification. This reference fits into a full range of colours (white, blue, brown, grey, yellow, black, orange, red, transparent, green, yellow green) allowing the identification to be harmonized according to professional standards.
In a festive setting where violet colour was required, all white cords were covered with heat shrinkable tubing purple.
