This self-vulcanizing ribbon is made of highly elastic silicone that melts cold without glue. Designed for demanding electrical applications, it is isolated by superimposing the layers: approximately 8 kV of insulation per layer (dielectric rigidity ≥ 15 kV/mm). Thanks to this property, it allows to isolate high-voltage components and quickly create a joint waterproof without using complicated adhesives or tools. Its elasticity (elongation up to 300%) and its silicone composition without charge guarantee a complete fusion between the layers.

Another interesting property is specific to the transparent ribbon. If you do not exceed two layers, you can read under a label, or find the color of the support. It's very convenient when you need to be able to identify information while applying a protective layer.

Soft and resistant, this tape supports wide temperature ranges (–45 °C to +200 °C in continuous use) and remains stable against UV, oils, acids or solvents. It forms an insulating film and waterproof, protecting connections and cables from moisture infiltration and corrosion. It is recommended to temporarily consolidate the ducts, repair pipes or beams in emergency situations, and isolate electrical junctions on the ground. For example, it isolates connections on boats, automobile or industrial beams, and repairs network leaks (gas, water, air) by forming a hermetic seal. Its implementation is quick: the protective transparent film is separated from the ribbon (the two sides adhere to each other), the tape is stretched up to 300% theoretically and the previous round is partially covered, then the end of the tape is fixed by applying firmly on the previous layers. This process without glue (self-welding) produces a homogeneous sleeve that protects immediately. Thanks to its efficiency and versatility, this self-melting silicone tape is widely used in the field for emergency troubleshooting and temporary gains, providing reliable insulation and lasting sealing.
