This heat-retractable cap is used to safely seal and isolate the end of electrical cables. Once heated, it retracts to perfectly fit the shape of the cable, forming a closed cap that prevents infiltration of water or contaminants. It thus ensures safety by avoiding accidental contact of bare drivers and maintaining the integrity of insulation. This termination device seals the cable in total sealing while offering an essential clean finish in professional installations.

Designed in high quality crosslinked polyolefin, this heat-retractable cap has excellent electrical strength (dielectric rigidity > 12 kV/mm) and a wide temperature range of use (about –55 °C to +105 °C). It is coated internally with a heat-fusible glue that melts into the heat and adheres to the cable, ensuring permanent sealing and strong mechanical hold once in place. Internal adhesive seals it and prevents the cap from slipping, ensuring a robust hold even in case of traction or vibration. This heat-retractable material is free of halogens and meets RoHS standards, suitable for modern industrial and electrical environments.

This cable tip is specially designed to withstand the most demanding conditions. Its UV stabilized black polyolefin composition makes it suitable for prolonged outdoor use in full sun without degradation. Total waterproof, it supports exposure to moisture (rain, condensation) and dust, allowing even use in the buried environment (underground) while maintaining the integrity of the cable. Internal adhesive forms an airtight water barrier, preventing corrosion and oxidation of conductors over the long term. The cap also resists common chemical stresses (acidic atmospheres, bases, hydrocarbons) and retains its flexibility under large temperature variations (it remains flexible up to –40 °C and does not crack under high thermal shocks). Thanks to these properties, the adhesive heat-retractable tip ensures lasting protection of cables, even in the most demanding industrial, outdoor or underground environments.
