This heat shrinkable tubing Kynar (PVDF – polyvinylidene fluoride) is designed to offer an ideal combination of thermal, chemical and mechanical resistance. It supports a continuous temperature of 175 °C, making it suitable for on-board systems, military, rail or industrial applications.
Sound shrink ratio 2:1 allows easy installation on wires, connectors or small beams, with excellent dimensional hold after retraction. Unlike other polyolate sheathsthinKynar has increased resistance to hydrocarbons, oxidizing agents, gamma radiation or X-rays.
It is often used in contexts where technical constraints are high : wiring of external equipment, tracing of wires in radioactive media, protection of elements subjected to repeated thermal cycles. Its relative stiffness after retraction also offers useful mechanical reinforcement in certain configurations.
It complies with RoHS, REACH and UL (flame retardation).
