This waterproof butt connector combines a heat shrinkable tubing coated with internal adhesive and tinned copper sleeve. After denuding and crimping the metal sleeve on the conductors, the tubing shrinks under heat, ensuring a durable electrical wire connection. The structure (pre-isolated sleeve) guarantees a fast, reliable and complete connection waterproof between two sons. With a mono-bring driver, the mechanical crimping is irreversible.

The application is very simple: the strands are unscrewed (-5 mm), each thread is inserted into the sleeve up to the stop, the copper tube is mechanically set with a pliers to be set, and the heat-retractable sleeve is heated with a hot air gun. This operation activates internal adhesive and retracts the heat retractable sleeve on the driver. When heated, the adhesive glues the tubing around the set sleeve and the conductor, creating a sealed splicing. This connection has several technical advantages: it offers highly reliable metallic contact (low electrical resistance) and reinforced insulation. The internal adhesive tubing prevents infiltration of water or contaminants, protecting the connection. The tests show a high resistance to fluids (the adhesive does not sink or tear) and a maintained flexibility up to –40 °C. The mounting can be UL certified (clamp 125 °C) and typically resists from –55 °C to +125 °C. In practice, this type of sleeve is used for demanding applications: beam repair, hooded auto wiring, low voltage installations or exterior lighting. It allows for example to connect or repair a damaged wire without replacing the entire cable, while guaranteeing perfect sealing.
