Crimp sleeves, heat-fusible connector with or without adhesive
Electrical connections : ensure continuity and security of connections
In any electrical, domestic, industrial or on-board installation, the quality of the fittings contributes to the reliability of the system. A cable can be optimally dimensioned, a compliant device, but if the connector between two conductors is wrong, the risk of heating or breakdown is always possible. The electrical connections are therefore much more than an accessory : they ensure the safety and future of networks.
Waterproof crimp sleeves : the most common technique
The crimp sleeve is an elementary and robust solution. Made of tinned copper or aluminium, it is placed between bare conductors and is mechanically crushed using a suitable clamp. The pressure exerted solidates the strands and guarantees optimal conductivity.
In its version Waterproof, sleeve is surrounded by a heat shrinkable tubing lined with an adhesive. When tightened, the adhesive melts and seals the junction, preventing moisture or dust from entering. This system is widely used in outdoor environments, boating or even automobiles.
